CAMPS:​

June 2-6: Sculptacular: Sculpture and Clay Camp (ages 6-9)

June 9-13: Sculptacular: Sculpture and Clay Camp (ages 8-11)

June 23-27: Art Explorers: Mixed Media Camp (ages 6-9)

July 7-11: Art Explorers:  Mixed Media Camp (ages 8-11)

July 21-25: Kentucky Traditional Craft Camp (ages 6-9)

Afternoon Only Option: 1-4pm

Drop-off 12:30-1pm

Pick-up 4-4:30pm

​Pricing:

  • Full Day: $265 KMAC members, $295 non-members

  • Half Day: $140 KMAC members, $155 non-members

Cancelation Policy:

  • If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the start of your week of camp, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee. 

  • If you cancel between 1-2 weeks before the start of camp, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations less than 2 weeks in advance will not be refunded.

  • In the event that KMAC must cancel camp, refund will be given in full, minus a 4% service fee.

 

Safety Protocols:

  • Camp sizes are limited to 20 campers

  • Classroom sanitation will be performed throughout the day by dedicated staff.

  • Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the museum.


Lunch and Snacks: 

  • Campers will bring their own lunch, water bottle, and morning/afternoon snacks. 

  • KMAC will not provide any snacks or drinks. Campers can refill water bottles at the sink in the classroom.

  • Lunch will take place outside, weather permitting. On rainy days, campers will have lunch in the classroom with windows open or outdoors under a canopy.

Scholarships:

  • A limited number of scholarships are available for KMAC Summer Camps. Click here to access scholarship information.  Applications are due April 27 and scholarship recipients will be notified by May 15, 2025.​

Morning Only Option: 9am-noon

Full day campers should bring lunch.

Indoor/outdoor playtime from noon-1pm.

Sculptacular: Sculpture and Clay Camp

June 2-6: Sculptacular: Sculpture and Clay Camp (ages 6-9)

June 9-13: Sculptacular: Sculpture and Clay Camp (ages 8-11)

Get your hands messy with this 3D camp! Campers will be introduced to sculpture artists and artworks and be inspired to create their own pieces of art. They will use a variety of clay techniques such as slab building, coil building, glazing techniques, and more. They will also work through engineering skills needed to sculpt with paper, wire, wood, and found objects.

Art Explorers: Mixed Media Camp

June 23-27: Art Explorers: Mixed Media Camp (ages 6-9)

July 7-11: Art Explorers:  Mixed Media Camp (ages 8-11)
Experiment and explore the world of Art! Campers will be introduced to an array of media, such as fiber, paint, wood, dyes, paper, and printmaking. They will see how artists use different materials and techniques to get their Big Idea out into the world.

Kentucky Traditional Craft Camp

July 21-25: Kentucky Traditional Craft Camp (ages 6-9)
Inspired by the Summer exhibitions on view, campers will use a variety of art mediums to create art based on traditional craft practices found in our region.  They will be introduced to many artists from Kentuckiana and explore how they create contemporary work from historical practices. From wood sculptures, to paintings, and fiber art, this camp will allow campers to explore how artists bring their imaginations to life.
