Your gift, big or small, is much appreciated and ensures KMAC's sustainability and future as a vital and community-focused contemporary art institution for visitors and art-lovers of all ages.
For 43 years, KMAC has strived to uplift the art and artists of Kentucky. We have steadfastly showcased the work of our region’s artists and held them alongside the work of national and international artists like Simone Leigh, Pablo Picasso and Vian Sora. Our exhibitions encourage conversations about local and global challenges and provide space to explore our own ideas.
The KMAC Education Department, the Shop at KMAC, the KMAC Poetry Slam and KMAC Couture are powerful channels through which we create opportunities, audiences and connections for artists of all ages and stages. In fact, KMAC connects over 30,000 people annually to art and creative practice.
We believe in the power of art to open windows to our shared humanity. We need your support more than ever. Like public museums around the globe, we are experiencing the impact of shifting funding priorities; however, we believe that museums like KMAC deserve to be considered as vital to community infrastructure as good roads and strong internet. Our funding comes from a combination of grants, corporate partnerships and private donors like you. As such, you’re critical to our survival.
We would LOVE to hear your feedback on what you want to see more of, less of, and if you’d like a one on one meeting with us or a tour of our building, offices and exhibitions. KMAC considers it a privilege to connect you, our community, to art and creative practice and we look forward to doing that in innovative and joyful ways for decades to come.
